Repair Fairyhas been founded in 2015 by Mr Ivan Chan.The team includes volunteers with renovation skills , retired people, teenagers and professionals.
Our targets are mostly people who are live-alone elderlies, disabled person and low-income families.Our organization aims to repair homes for needy and promote the idea of bringing the community closer together.
Repair Fairyfocuses on home repairing projects to maintain a safe environment for people in need. We give hands on almost anything that can help to fix the house problems such as fixing water pipes , repairing falling cement from the ceiling, painting walls, changing lightbulbs, installing curtain rails and handrails.
With so many unfortunate people in Hong Kong, we are trying our best to help and assist them, hoping to see a glimpse of hope and a smile on their faces.
Our instructors hold classes every month to teach all kinds of knowledge about renovation and home repairing. We hope to inspire the participants to help each other for home repairing in their neighborhood.
After training , participants are able to get practical skills with our volunteering projects in the community. All the tuitions are contributed for volunteer purposes which is used for purchasing materials, tools and transportation.
To utilize our resources and materials , we form a home visit team to visit people in need. Volunteers and staffs talk to the beneficiaries, get to know more about their needs and have a look at their home environment.
After the screening , we will arrange our volunteer team to repair beneficiaries’ homes as soon as possible during weekends.
